EHEDG Hygienic Design Advanced Course in Pretoria
EHEDG Regional Section South Africa in collaboration with the University of Pretoria, successfully hosted a 3 day Advanced Hygienic Design training course, 8 to 10 April 2024, in Pretoria South Africa. The course was well attended by delegates from various national and international food companies as well as service providers to the Food and Beverage Industry. Following 3 days of intense focus on various aspects of Hygienic design, with practical examples, visual inspection of materials and components used in hygienic design as well as interactive discussions between trainers and delegates, the course was concluded with a final exam and photo session. The consensus amongst the delegates was that the topics and concepts covered during the course encapsulated the importance of Hygienic Design and its relevance in producing safe food. As one delegate described her experience “I learnt a new language, Hygienic Design is a must”.
