Stichting EFFoST (European Federation of Food Science and Technology), a foundation incorporated under the laws of the Netherlands, registered at the Dutch Commercial Registry (“Kamer van Koophandel”) under number 09106528, having its registered office at Wageningen, The Netherlands (Agro Business Park 82, 6708 WG), hereinafter the “EFFoST”, here represented by Jeroen Knol, Managing  Director, with legal powers to this agreement, and from now on referred as "EFFoST"

are Project Partners in the EYE Mentorship Programme (also “EHEDG Young EFFoST Mentorship Programme”). 

The EYE Mentorship Programme pairs young professionals with seasoned experts in the field of food science, hygienic design and technology. In the programme, the mentee and mentor will meet regularly and work together on several topics according to their needs and preferences. One can either focus on personal development or professional growth. Intertwined with the meetings, Young EFFoST and EHEDG will organise events in order to deepen the connections and to create networking opportunities. The goal of this partner programme is to develop career opportunities for young professionals in food science, technology and hygienic design.

This privacy notice provides information regarding processing by the EYE Mentorship Programme Partners of personal data of individuals (“you”) who register to participate in and join the EYE Mentorship Programme.For you to participate in the EYE Mentorship Programme project requires us to process your personal information. This will be the data you provide us. In this privacy policy for the EYE Mentorship Programme we will explain how we use the personal data we collect from you.

What data do we collect?
Your personal identification information (Name, date of birth, gender, address, nationality, country of residence, email address) as well as the company information of your employer and/or the information of your school/University (name, place, country) as well as personal information regarding state of career and interests and your curriculum vitae (CV) in order to accomplish the matchmaking between mentor and mentee.

How do we collect your data?
You directly provide us with most of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:
•    Register online to participate in the EYE Mentorship Programme,
•    Voluntarily complete a survey or provide feedback on any of our activities,
•    We may also receive your data indirectly from the following sources:
•    The EFFoST or EHEDG Congress registration
•    The EFFoST or EHEDG Webinar Series
•    Your subscription to the EFFoST and/or EHEDG Newsletter

How will we use your data?
We collect your data so that we can:

• Enrol you into the EYE Mentorship Programme which will allow you to participate and become a mentee or mentor;
• Communicate with you regarding the specific EYE Mentorship Programme activities for which you registered and provide you with the necessary information and documentation;
• Manage and organise all different aspects of the EYE Mentorship Programme,
• For our internal reporting purposes;
• Bring you in contact with our mentees and mentors;
• Email you updates and news through newsletters, offers, services we think you might like

We will NOT share your personal data with third parties.

How do we store your data?
We securely store your data at our data centers. These are situated in Europe. We keep personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this privacy notice, in accordance with our applicable records retention and disposition schedules.

Audio and Visual Recording; Live Streaming
Photographs and/or audio-visual footage may be taken and/or live-streamed during (parts of) the Project. Videos and photos can be published on EHEDG and EFFoST websites and social media pages as well as on the co-partners online platforms. Photos and videos may also be recorded and can be reproduced in various media including EHEDG and EFFoST publications, social networks and press, in connection with a specific event, or for further institutional purposes as well as for promotional activities of EHEDG and EFFoST. By attending a Project-related and organized (or co-organized) event, you agree you may appear in published photos and/or videos as stated above.

Information updates/marketing
We would like to send you marketing information about services of ours that we think you might like.
If you have agreed to receive those updates, you may always opt out at a later date.
You have the right at any time to stop us from contacting you for marketing purposes.
If you no longer wish to be contacted for marketing purposes, please click here.
We will not sell or otherwise share your data with parties not directly connected to the Project for their marketing purposes. 

What are your data protection rights?
We would like to make sure you are fully aware of all of your data protection rights. Every user is entitled to the following:

• The right to access – You have the right to request us for copies of your personal data. We may charge you a small fee for this service.
• The right to rectification – You have the right to request that we correct any information you believe is inaccurate. You also have the right to request us to complete the information you believe is incomplete.
• The right to erasure – You have the right to request that we erase your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to restrict processing – You have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to object to processing – You have the right to object to our processing of your personal data, under certain conditions.
• The right to data portability – You have the right to request that we transfer the data that we have collected to another organization, or directly to you, under certain conditions.

Changes to our Privacy Notice
We can revise or update this privacy notice if our practices change, or as we develop better ways to keep you informed about them. Please refer back to this page for the latest information and the effective date of any changes. If we decide to change this privacy notice, we will post a new version on our website and change the date at the bottom. Changes to the privacy notice shall not apply retroactively.
